Lodge Details
Style
A small, luxurious tented camp.
Setting
Nestled at the foot of an indigenous forest overlooking a waterhole, Kicheche Laikipia Camp lies in the centre of the 90,000 acre Ol Pejeta Conservancy; this un-crowded wilderness offers spectacular game viewing and is home to Kenya’s largest population of black rhino. The Conservancy lies on the Equator and affords wonderful views of Mount Kenya.
Accommodation & Facilities
The camp consists of six luxurious tents, custom designed and fully insect-proof. Each tent has its own private veranda overlooking the wildlife at the waterhole, and en-suite bathrooms are equipped with dressers, flushing toilets and hot showers.
Dining
Delicious meals are often served alfresco or in the dining tent.
Activities
A full selection of game-viewing activities are available, including day and night-time game drives, escorted game walks and horse riding. Guests can benefit from a lion tracking programme, which monitors the lions of the area.
Excursions to a chimpanzee sanctuary for orphaned chimps can also be arranged - an excellent place to learn about the perils facing chimpanzees in the wild.
Child Policy
Children of all ages are welcome.
